What has Isega institute tested our paper straws for to certify our product suitable for direct food contact?
During lab tests the following criteria and standards have been followed:
– Determination of Overall migration according to EN 1186:2002-07 and EN 13130-1:2004-08;
– Determination of Specific migration;
– Determination of Transfer of antimicrobial constituents according to DIN EN 1104:2019-01;
– Determination of Colour fastness of dyed paper and board;
– Sensory analysis for direct transition of taste.
The conclusion of the report certifies the paper straws we are producing as direct food contact product.
